A shop in Port St Mary has decided to stop delivering papers on Sunday, citing changes to sailings.
Torden Stores, on Bay View Road, said “unreliable sailings, late sailings, maintenance days always falling on a Sunday” are to blame for the withdrawal of the service.
The family run store said that an “increase of late afternoon delivery of papers to us then the delivery to our customers we don’t finish until the early evening”.
Vicky, Dave, Hayden and Torryn said that this is starting to impact their family time and that they feel that this is their “only option”.
