A cat that had been missing for three days was rescued from a pine tree by Manx tree surgeons, Advanced Tree Care.
The business received an urgent plea for help on social media from a worried cat owner, Sam Waters.
Sam had discovered that his moggy, Mae, was trapped high up in a towering pine tree.
Cat Needs Assistance
Despite Sam’s devoted vigil by the tree, hoping Mae would find her own way down, it became evident that Mae was too distressed and needed immediate assistance.
Despite Advanced Tree Care’s already jam-packed schedule the team made a unanimous decision drop tools and temporarily halt their work, and rush to Sam and Mae’s aid.
Armed with their trusty harnesses and ladders, they embarked on a daring rescue mission.
Rescue Mission
The business said that as rescuer Lee approached Mae, who was approximately 20 feet up the tree, she suddenly panicked and scrambled to the very top!
The tree surgeons says Lee was undeterred and utilised his expert tree climbing skills, making his way to the pinnacle.
With a mix of bravery and caution, Lee gently captured Mae and securely nestled her in his jacket.
Lee then reunited Mae with Sam on solid ground. Mae is now back home, safe and sound.
