Castletown Commissioners is asking residents to not use George Lane after it was closed by the DoI.
The lane was closed by the DoI due to dangerous ridge tiles posing a public safety risk on The George pub.
The authority said: “The closure will likely remain in place until the brewery completes the necessary safety works to address the issue.
“The Commissioners appreciate the inconvenience that this closure is causing and are actively exploring options within their power to support the resolution of this matter as quickly as possible.
“We apologise for any inconvenience caused and thank you for your patience and understanding. Please do not try and bypass the barriers that are in place for public safety.”
