Police are asking people not to share video footage of a knife-related incident in Douglas.
Armed officers responded to the incident in Willaston on Monday afternoon.
A young female has since been charged and appeared in court.
Officers have been informed that several persons have been sharing footage of the incident amongst themselves and also on various social media groups.
A force spokesperson said: “The sharing of this footage could cause significant distress to all involved parties and their families and potentially hinder the prosecution of this matter.”
“We would ask that if you have or know of footage of the incident, please contact the Police using the references below and do not share it any further.”
