Part of Mount View Road in Onchan is closed to allow repairs to a water main.
Water has been observed flowing from a grid on the road, which has run down into the village.
Manx Utilities has said the road is closed between its junctions with Avondale Road and Victoria Avenue.
The water flowed down Avondale Road and into the rear car park of the Manx Arms before heading down to the main road.
