The island’s schools remain closed this morning, with bus services also suspended across the island.
A review on the school closures will be held at 10:30am and it may be possible schools open at 12:30pm.
If schools reopen this afternoon, no school meal service will be available.
Airport
While the weather is not expected to worsen, the airport will remain closed due to snow on the runway. Residents scheduled to travel off-Island under the Patient Transfer Service are asked to familiarise themselves with their Travel Warrant, which includes important information and contact details in the event of travel difficulties. Liverpool Airport is also currently closed.

Roads
Temperatures will remain low throughout the day. All main roads remain open (except the Mountain), but people are urged to drive with caution. Residents are encouraged to allow extra time for journeys. Estates and bus routes will continue to be cleared throughout the morning.
Hospital
People will still be seen at the hospital today but should only travel if it is safe to do so. Anyone scheduled for essential renal or chemotherapy should still attend. If they cannot travel they should call hospital.
