MHKs will next week decide who from within their ranks should be on the House of Keys’ Management and Members’ Standards Committee.
The election of three MHKs to the committee is, in effect, a housekeeping task following the House of Keys election last month. The previous members were Daphne Caine, Tim Crookall and Michelle Haywood. None of them are MHKs any more.
Speaker David Ashford is ex officio chair of the committee, which is there to manage procedures and standards-related matters in the Keys.
When the members have been elected, they will also represent the House of Keys on the Tynwald Standards and Privileges Committee, which will also include the Speaker and Deputy Speaker.
The House of Keys sits on November 3, when voting for new committee members will take place.
