Witnesses sought following assault

The Isle of Man Constabulary are appealing for witnesses to come forward to assist it with an ongoing investigation of assault.

At approximately 10:20pm on December 31, 2023, in the area of the traffic lights near to the Rosemount Public House, Douglas, officers responded to reports of a fight between two males.

As a result of the assault, one male received treatment at Hospital.

Witnesses

The police force believe a number of members of the public were present at the time.

It says that some people “assisted in separating the males and others who were present in their vehicles”.

A number of enquiries are ongoing in relation to this investigation.

The force is asking the public who have yet to be spoken to by Police to assist in coming forward as possible witnesses.

It is also asking for people to check any dash cam footage within their vehicles that may have captured the assault.
