The island’s women’s team has opened their Island Games tournament by losing on penalties after a 0-0 draw.
Wayne Lisy’s side played Mediterranean island Gozo in their opening group game.
After 90 minutes saw the game left at 0-0, the group stage game went to penalties which Gozo won.
The result stands as a draw and the penalties are taken into account to settle ties in the group stage, if needed.
The Manx women will play Norwegian island Froya next on Monday afternoon and hosts Orkney on Tuesday.
