Ramsey Town Commissioners has announced essential maintenance work at the BMX Track in the Mooragh Park, preparing it for the summer season.
As part of the project, the authority confirmed it will dismantle and remove several structures on the site.
“We will be looking to dismantle and remove the shed, container and portable toilet that are currently located there, as they are beyond repair and for the safety of those using the Track,” it said.
Work is set to begin this week, with the container and wooden shed being cleared first. The area has been fenced off, and the commissioners expect the project to be completed by the end of next week.
“The track remains open and useable,” it added, urging the public to stay away from the work zone. “For your safety, please do not access the area while works are ongoing.”
The board also confirmed its commitment to maintaining the facility until a dedicated club or organisation takes over its operation.
