Works Begin to Fix Storm Damaged Pavement

Works have begun in Sulby to fix a pavement that was damaged during Storm Eowyn.

As a result of the works, temporary traffic lights will be in place today (February 3) on Main Road, Sulby opposite Sulby School.

A tree was blown down during Storm Eowyn and caused significant localised damage to the footway.

Teams from the Department of Infrastructure are to remove the root ball and repair the damage.

It is hoped that work may get completed today, but this will very much depend on whether or not utility services beneath the footpath have been affected.

This damage is right next to where the school crossing patrol is located, and if works cannot be completed today works will resume tomorrow (February 4).
