The Great Laxey Mine Railway has renamed its carriage shed and workshop in honour of one of its first volunteers.
Norman Mckibbin died last December and is remembered as “a true gentleman and a top engineer/toolmaker”.
The railway said: “Norman spent many hours in the workshop, not only repairing many items but also tidying the place up which invariably meant that other volunteers could never find anything they wanted for a number of weeks!
“Norman is always in our thoughts.”
