Ramsey Town Commissioner, Lamara Craine, has created a group on Facebook for those interested in the idea of the town centre being pedestrianised.
The group has been created to ‘explore’ the possibilities of pedestrianisation in the heart of Ramsey.
She says they will discuss ‘how, why, and where of pedestrianisation, weighing the myriad of pros and cons’.

The prospect has already created a mix of opinions, with several concerned that the prospect of pedestrianising the town would have a negative impact on the local businesses.
Others are concerned that it may bring further issues with parking within the town.
Others have welcomed the idea, and suggested that deliveries/vehicle should be at ‘set times only’ adding that ‘off street parking is needed’.
