Zurich Introduces ‘Critical Care’

Zurich has partnered with Further Group to introduce Critical Care—a new employee benefit designed to support those diagnosed with serious illnesses and neurological disorders.

Available to Isle of Man, UK, and Channel Islands employers, the benefit can be added to Zurich’s Group Life or Income Protection policies.

It can be added to any Zurich International Group Life or Group Income Protection Policy, allowing employers to meet the changing needs of their workforce.

Stephanie Hatton, Corporate Benefits Executive at Zurich International, said: “Critical Care has been carefully designed to offer quicker access to diagnoses and treatment, which in turn increases the chances of positive outcomes, leading to a better quality of life.”

She highlighted rising health concerns, stating: “Over the past decade, NHS figures show that serious illnesses have surged, with heart disease increasing by 50% and around half of the population facing a cancer diagnosis in their lifetime.”

The benefit provides access to specialist treatments, including overseas care, with employees supported by a dedicated case manager.

Stephanie added: “Critical Care marks a significant advancement in employee group protection benefits… We are immensely proud to offer it in partnership with Further Group.”

Frank Ahedo, CEO of Further, said: “This innovative benefit provides employees with comprehensive support and access to cutting-edge treatments globally during critical health moments.”

Employers can now offer the benefit as part of their wellbeing strategies, ensuring faster access to vital healthcare services.
