Swimmer Laura Kinley and Para Powerlifter Alfie Bezance have been chosen as Team Isle of Man’s baton bearer and flag bearer for the Glasgow 2026 Commonwealth Games Opening Ceremony.
Bezance, 17, will carry the Manx flag into The OVO Hydro, becoming the island’s youngest ever flag bearer.
Ranked 11th in the Commonwealth, he won the 2025 British Under‑23 Championships against able‑bodied athletes and broke the unofficial Junior World Record, earning a place on the Team GB pathway for the 2028 Paralympics.
Kinley, competing in her fourth Games, will serve as baton bearer. She races in the 50m and 100m breaststroke and returns to the city where she made her Commonwealth debut in 2014.
The Commonwealth Games Association says both athletes embody the strength and progression of Team Isle of Man ahead of Glasgow 2026.
