A pedestrian crossing pole on Woodbourne Road will undergo repairs this week after being struck and damaged by a vehicle in the early hours of Sunday.
Engineers have inspected the pole at the junction with York Road and confirmed it remains operational and safe, although it is leaning heavily.
To carry out repairs safely, the permanent traffic lights will need to be switched off and temporary four‑way lights put in place.
The earliest available date for the temporary system is Friday (March 20) when repair work is scheduled to take place.
The temporary lights will remain in operation only for the duration of the repair.
