The Managing Director of Isle of Man Creamery has announced he is stepping down after more than a quarter of a century at the helm.
Findlay MacLeod confirmed he will leave the role to “take a step back and consider my priorities and ambitions for the future”.
Mr MacLeod has led the cooperative since 2000, overseeing a significant expansion of its export markets.
During his tenure, Manx cheese has been shipped to customers in the United States, Canada, Australia and Europe.
“It has been a privilege to work with and on behalf of the island’s dairy farming community, and I leave the business with a strong sense of pride in what has been achieved during my time there,” he said.
Mr MacLeod also highlighted the Creamery’s strengthened position in the local market, underpinned by quality and customer relationships.
He paid tribute to the workforce, stating: “Most importantly, I have had the pleasure of working with and helping to build a highly capable and committed team, whose hard work and expertise underpin the Creamery’s continued success.”
The outgoing director wished the business, its employees, and the farming community well for the future.
A successor for the managing director role has not yet been announced by the Creamery’s board.
