A developer is seeking permission to cut down a selection of trees in Braddan.
Hartford Homes has submitted a planning application to plant eight new trees to mitigate the visual impact.
The planning application is part of a broader project to develop the controversial Braddan Woods housing estate.
The application states that an existing section of trees planted before development had “not been actively managed”.
If approved, the applicants would remove one third of the section and plant eight new trees just north to mitigate the visual impact.
Hartford Homes gained permission to build 320 houses and a new two-form entry primary school in 2022.
Braddan Commissioners, among others, appealed against this decision in 2024 but were unsuccessful.
