Dressage rider and coach James Mister, alongside his student, 12‑year‑old Breesha Byers, has qualified for the British Dressage National Championships.
Breesha placed third in the novice silver at Northallerton in Yorkshire and won the Under‑25 section on Caperann Karl.
Speaking of her achievement, James said: “I’m very proud of Breesha for qualifying for her fourth consecutive championship. She works very hard at home and has a great mindset towards competition.”

Breesha added: “I have owned Carlos for just over two years and he has helped me qualify for the Championships every season. He is the best pony and I love him so much.”
Nationals Bound
James and Graigueaverne Forester, owned by Chloe Foulis, finished third in the Elementary Silver class at Aintree Equestrian Centre.
Several years ago, James sold Graigueaverne Forester to Chloe for Para Dressage competition, while continuing to provide training. However, Chloe has undergone eye surgery this year, resulting in James riding ‘Mac’ for the season.
Speaking on the qualification, Chloe said: “I’m super pleased that James and Mac can still compete together. I am hugely grateful to James for keeping Mac in work whilst I have been recovering from eye surgery, and I wish them both the best of luck at Nationals.”
James added: “He really is such a special horse, and it’s a privilege to be able to compete him again this season.”
Breesha and James will competed at the British Dressage Lemieux National Championships from September 10 to 13 at Somerford Park in Cheshire.
