Marown memorial playing fields fell victim to damage by teenagers at the weekend.
The charity says that on Saturday (November 16) afternoon, four teenage girls were seen “abusing” some of the new equipment in the playground.
The girls were seen jumping on top of the newly installed musical drums, and were “disrespectful” in response when being asked to stop.
Playground Damage
Around £50,000 has been spent by the Marown Memorial Playing Fields charity to upgrade the facility.
It says is “extremely disappointing that within one week we have seen some individuals potentially causing criminal damage”.
The area is covered by CCTV and the charity says it won’t hesitate to contact the police should anyone damage the facilities.
