The DoI is to ask Tynwald to sign off on £2.5m to partially restore the Douglas Bay Horse Tramway to the Sea Terminal.
This follows months of debate which saw members, again, instruct the DoI to get on with the much delayed scheme.
Minister Tim Crookall will ask for from a transfer from General Reserves to the Capital Financing Reserve with £500,000 to be held by Treasury in contingency.
Last month saw Tynwald members vote overwhelmingly in favour of an amendment supporting the reinstatement of the Douglas Bay Horse Tramway to the Sea Terminal, with the House of Keys voting 21-0 and the Legislative Council 5-1 in favour.
Sarah Maltby, who proposed the successful amendment, said: “Every month or every year we postpone a decision, that increases the likelihood that the eventual cost will be higher, not lower.”
