Drivers are being reminded that they have to turn left when exiting the prom walkway Christmas parking.
The walkway offers two hour parking free throughout the Christmas period into early January.
The exit on Loch Prom requires drivers to turn left towards the Sea Terminal, but the DoI says it has received reports of people breaching the road order and turning right across the southbound traffic.
It said: “There are permanent signs in place to direct all traffic entering the roadway from here to turn left towards the sea terminal.
“Drivers wishing to travel north should proceed to the sea terminal roundabout and go round it and join Loch Promenade from that point. These arrangements are in place in order to not interrupt the flow of traffic and to maintain safety.”
