A dry cleaners that has served the island’s capital for over two decades will close at the end of the year.
Christopher’s Dry Cleaners, based at the shops under the Castle Mona, announced the closure on its Facebook page.
Citing rising costs, rents and bill, the business made the announcement with “deep regret”.
In a message to customers, owner Vicky O’Dell said: “After almost 22 years of business, Christopher’s will sadly be closing permanently from Wednesday 31st December.
“Due to increasing rent, bills and other costs, the business has been struggling to continue and we have found ourselves with no other option.
“We would like to thank our customers for their loyalty over the years, especially with Covid and the Promenade roadworks which lasted over 3 years.
“We’re still very much open until the 31st December, so please use us while you can!”
