Race organisers will provide a later update on tonight’s schedule as hopes remain the weather may improve.
The newcomers’ controlled lap was the only action to take place on Monday.
After heavy rain overnight and this morning, the island is looking somewhat wet and drab.
However, organisers said: “Weather conditions are set to improve from 4pm, and it is hoped that will provide enough time for conditions around the Course to improve sufficiently for Qualifying to take place this evening.
“A further update will be issued at 3:45pm.”
If the session does go ahead, roads will be closed at 6pm, with the Superbike and Superstock bikes due out at 6:30pm, followed by the sidecars at 8:10pm.
All roads will be open by 9:30pm.
