Tennis star Billy Harris won in straight sets as he became the first Manxman to play in the Davis Cup.
He beat Finnish number one Otto Virtanen 6-4, 7-6 (7-4) at the AO Arena in Manchester.
The world ranked 101 star has risen to prominence this year after making successive ATP tournament quarterfinals and playing in the first round at Wimbledon.
Speaking to the BBC after his match, Harris said playing for GB in the Davis Cup had “just topped” his year so far.
The British number 3 Harris will be back in action alongside Argentina on Friday before the final group contest against Canada on Sunday.
