Julie Edge MHK has asked Health Minister Claire Christian to release five years of detailed midnight bed‑occupancy data for Noble’s Hospital.
The Onchan MHK says the information is needed to build a clearer picture of how the island’s acute care system has been operating month by month.
In a written Tynwald question, Ms Edge requested the average midnight bed occupancy for each of the past 60 months, broken down into four categories:
- Occupied inpatient beds;
- Vacant inpatient beds;
- Staffed bed numbers;
- Patients in A&E waiting for an inpatient bed.
She also asked for the operating status recorded at each point in time, information that would show when the hospital was running at normal levels, under pressure, or at escalation.
