Steam Packet’s Manannan is running on four engines again after engineers fixed a fault with her controls.
The fast craft had been running on three engines for the last couple of days after a fault was identified with an engine control system which required a shutdown.
A combination of the vessel’s crew, engineering staff and representatives of the control system manufacturer have been working “around the clock” to resolve the issue.
As a result, the Manannan’s sailings will be running to time today.
Having left the island at 7am, she is due in Liverpool just after 10am, returning at 11:15am and driving back in Douglas around 2pm.
Manannan will then sail back to Liverpool at 3pm and is due to leave Merseyside at 7:15pm tonight.
