Today’s Manannan sailings have been rescheduled due to the earlier issue with Manxman.
Smoke was detected on the company’s flagship overnight, but there was no threat to the overall safety of the vessel.
With Manxman’s sailing cancelled, the Steam Packet worked quickly to move passengers over to Manannan, delaying her departure this morning to Liverpool.
As a result, the fast craft is now due into Merseyside just before 11am, while the return sailing is now due to leave at 12pm, with passengers asked to check in by 11:15am.
That knock on effect will continue into the afternoon with the Douglas to Liverpool sailing now set to leave at 4:15pm, with the return leaving at 9pm.
