This morning’s incident on Manxman, which has led to several sailings being cancelled, has had a knock on effect on postal services.
As a result, post collected yesterday cannot be dispatched to the UK and will miss its connection into the Royal Mail delivery network.
Inbound mail from the UK is also likely to be impacted by the delays.
However, local to local mail within the Isle of Man is unaffected.
The Isle of Man Post Office is working with its partners to minimise disruption.
