Jason Moorhouse MHK has submitted an urgent question for next week’s Tynwald sitting regarding farm vet services.
The President of Tynwald Laurence David Skelly MLC has given permission for the urgent question at next week’s sitting.
Arbory, Castletown and Malew Mr Moorhouse will ask the Minister for Environment, Food and Agriculture: “What action has been taken by the Minister and her Department, regarding any impact on the industry, following the announcement by Milan Vets that they would be ceasing their services to farmers.”
It was announced earlier this week that Milan Vets will cease its farm services from the end of the month.
The announcement has left farmers across the island concerned for animal welfare standards and what options they have.
