Glenfaba and Peel MHK Kate Lord-Brennan has welcomed the approval of a new cash machine for Peel.
Tesco’s application (24/00802/B) to install an ATM at its Derby Road store has been approved by DEFA.
Accessing cash in the west of the island has been made more difficult in recent years as banks have closed and left towns and villages.
Ms Lord-Brennan said: “Thank you to Tesco for being so responsive to this request for the community when I contacted last autumn.”
The decision will be made final after the appeal timeframe (21 days) has passed.
