The Department of Infrastructure says progress is continuing on the Mountain Road, with part of the route set to reopen temporarily over the weekend.
The southern section between Creg Ny Baa and the Bungalow will open from 4pm today and remain accessible until 9.30am on Monday (April 13), when it will close again for further works.
The weekend opening will restore access to Beinn y Phott Road and Tholt‑y‑Will Road, reconnecting routes to Michael, Ballaugh and Sulby.
However, the Ramsey to Bungalow stretch will remain closed, with the Department confirming the road surface there is not yet in a condition to reopen. Work in that area will continue throughout the weekend.
Looking ahead, the full section from Ramsey to Creg Ny Baa will be closed next week, up to and including Friday, April 17, as improvement works resume along the entire length.
