The northern end of the Mountain Road is to remain closed into tomorrow after a vehicle fire.
Police say it will be closed from Lheanney Road in Ramsey to the Bungalow.
It said that the road is “going to remain closed overnight tonight and for the majority of Monday June 9 too.
“The road surface was damaged earlier following a fire on the road and the section of road surface needs to be replaced by our colleagues from the DOI.”
The Roads Policing Unit added: “It was a local petrol car that caught fire fully destroying the vehicle. All occupants of the vehicle had safely exited the vehicle prior to Police arrival.”
