Vagabonds Ladies’ were beaten on the road this weekend as they went down 32-24 away at Didsbury Toc H.
The game also saw the side celebrate the birthday of captain Sammie Mac.
Vagas said of the game: “The first half wasn’t our finest, as we made things hard for ourselves by allowing too many line breaks which Didsbury certainly capitalised on.
“That said, there were still flashes of what we’re capable of, even if we went into half time with a fair bit of catching up to do.
“The second half was where we really turned things on. Our attack ramped up, the defence tightened, and the energy lifted across the team.
“We clawed our way back into the game and made Didsbury work hard right until the end. Sadly, a late try for our opposition in the final few minutes meant the win slipped out of reach.”
Vagas try scorers were Lauren Ellison x2, Lois Mooney and Bea O’Neill, with Sammie Mac kicking two conversions.
