Isle of Man Post Office says it is aware that Torden Stores in Port St Mary, which provides postal services on its behalf, has announced it will close.
The organisation says it understands the news may worry customers who rely on local postal services, and will invite expressions of interest from businesses or organisations willing to take on provision in the village.
Until a new partner is appointed, residents can continue to access the full range of services at Castletown and Port Erin Post Offices, or use Online Postage to buy stamps and arrange free doorstep collections.
The Post Office has thanked Torden Stores and its staff for their “valued service” to both the Post Office and the Port St Mary community.
