More than 80,000 TT+ Live Passes were purchased in 2026, according to figures released by the DfE.
The data shows Live Pass purchases rose from 57,040 in 2022 to 81,135 this year. Freemium subscribers grew from 128,318 to 393,100 over the same period.
However, the government has refused to disclose annual subscription revenue, production expenses, country-by-country breakdowns, or data on subscribers who do not watch the service.
The department said disclosure “would be likely to prejudice the commercial interests and competitive position of the department.”
It argued that “the public interest in maintaining the exemption outweighs the public interest in disclosure”.
However, using the figures provided and the cost of access of £23.99 charged to domestic and UK customers, this would have raised £1,946,428.65
