Building work on a new dedicated £3.3m Sexual Assault Referral Centre has been completed.
The clinically-led facility, named Thie Darragh, will transform the way victims and survivors of sexual assault access care.
The centre will provide immediate clinical, psychological and practical support, as well as a modern forensic environment where evidence can be gathered.
Its completion means the Isle of Man has one of the most modern facilities of its type in the British Isles.

Minister for Justice and Home Affairs Jane Poole-Wilson MHK said: ‘Being a victim of a sexual crime is a harrowing experience.
“This new, specialist facility, will ensure the very best care for victims of sexual crime. We have ensured that the design meets the highest standards. The building, its facilities and the staff who will run it are truly impressive.’
Thie Darragh will now go through a commissioning process by Manx Care and is expected to be fully operational later this year.
Its location is not being widely disclosed to protect service users’ privacy.
