Corinthians and Peel both won on Saturday to keep up their tight battle at the top of the Canada Life Premier League.
There was also a full round of Woods Cup action, which saw a shock for the Ardern & Druggan Div2 leaders.
Corinthians beat Laxey 3-2 in a thrilling game at Ballafletcher thanks to two goals from Dan Simpson and a strike from Sean Doyle, while Adam Mealin and Ed Kangah scored for the miners. See Gary’s photos here.
Title rivals Peel, who are four points behind Corinthians, but with two games in hand, won 1-4 away at Braddan.

Elsewhere in the top flight, Onchan beat Rushen 4-0 to go third, St John’s ran out 0-3 winners away at Ayre and Union Mills beat Old Boys 3-2.

Woods Cup
St Georges pulled off a shock to beat Div2 league leaders Castletown 1-0 at Glencrutchery Road thanks to a goal from Johnny Quirk.
Marown beat the second placed side as they dumped Colby out, winning 2-1 at the Memorial Playing Fields.
