Top 10 For Ingham at ‘Challenging’ Pau

Greeba’s Yasmin Ingham finished tenth in a very wet and challenging 5* in France this weekend.

Yasmin was riding the Sue Davies Fund and Janette Chinn’s 14-year-old Rehy DJ at the CCI5*L in Pau.

She scored a 26.5 dressage on Friday, a new personal best for Rehy DJ ‘Piglet’ at 5* level, which sat her in 6th overnight going into Saturday’s cross country.

The wet weather at the event in Pau wreaked havoc on many competitors, and thanks to the deep muddy ground it made going inside the time impossible.

However, Ingham and Piglet soared around the technical track with no jumping penalties and 23.2 time penalties.

Challenging Conditions

Speaking after their cross country round, Yasmin said: “Piglet dug so deep for me out on the XC in the most challenging conditions I’ve ever ridden in jumping a mega clear round!

“Couldn’t be more proud and grateful for him getting us home safely.”

The scoreboard changed drastically after the cross country phase, and left it all to play for going into the final phase of showjumping yesterday (October 27).

Piglet and Yas flew through the horse inspection and were in 11th place going into the showjumping.

They jumped a faultless round in the final phase for their last event of the season.

The duo’s final score was 49.7, and they finished in 10th place.
