Town Shoppers Raise Over £900 For RDA

Volunteers for Riding for the Disabled Isle of Man helped raise £950 for the charity at the weekend.

In Saturday’s wind and rain, people who were shopping in Douglas donated to the charity’s stand in Strand Street.

The charity provides positive horse experiences for anyone with additional needs on the island and is 100% volunteer run and all funds raised by the group stays on island.

Fundraising

Riding for the Disabled is launching a new fundraising pack to help the general public support them by doing whatever they can do.

From sponsored walks to silences, bake sales to climbing Kilimanjaro; There is a fabulous team gathering, headed up by Rare Air Flyers and a Mum of one of the charity’s riders walking the Parish Walk for the charity this year.

The charity is always looking for sponsorship for it’s riding projects and to be able to keep competing.
