Vagabonds Ladies gave league leaders Winnington Park more than a fright in a tight game in the Women’s NC 2 North (South).
The Manx side lost 43-32 and were full of belief on the ferry home that if the second half had gone on longer they could have turned that into a win.
Maylyn Campbell and Bliss Murtagh scored two tries apiece for Vagas Rebs O’Neill and Sophie Henry also going over, with Henry also kicking the rest of the points.
The team said on Facebook: “A loss for us but lots of wins too!! Well done to our Ladies who were in new positions and debuted also. Look at all those tries and a conversion from Soph!”
Vagas Ladies will next play at home on November 2 when they welcome Bury Ladies.
Bad Day At The Office
Vagas’ mens’ side didn’t fair any better as they crashed to a 64-5 defeat at Fleetwood in Counties 3 ADM Lancs/Cheshire.
