The storms from earlier this week have damaged a waste water outfall.
A spokesperson for Manx Utilities said: “Severe weather has caused further damage to the waste water outfall at Kirk Michael, which carries treated effluent from Kirk Michael Waste Water Treatment Works.”
They added: “The weather has also caused significant damage to the concrete access roadway.
“This aspect is being dealt with by the Department of Infrastructure, while Manx Utilities is progressing arrangements for repairs to the outfall.”
The affected area has been cordoned off.
“If you are using the beach, please keep clear of the damaged pipe and observe the barriers and signage in place,” the spokesperson added.
