The Online Support Centre at the Sea Terminal will close on Friday, with staff being redirected to the Vehicle Test Centre.
This follows complaints that the Vehicle Test Centre is unable to handle driver and vehicle licenses previously handled by the Post Office.
From Monday, staff will be moved back to the Vehicle Test Centre “to better support those who are going there for completion of their Driver and Vehicle transactions”.
A government spokesperson said: “Following assessment of the footfall, demand, and feedback received from both the Vehicle Test Centre and the Online Support Centre at the Sea Terminal, we will be closing the Online Support Centre and redirecting those staff to help customers at the Vehicle Test Centre.”
The majority of driver and vehicle services are now available online at services.gov.im.
The government said the changes are “part of the ongoing work to ensure services are delivered in the simplest, fastest and most convenient way for the community”.
