Ben-my-Chree and Manannan are to operate services from Heysham while Manxman is out of action.
Service engineers and spare parts are en route to the Isle of Man on an “expedited basis”.
This follows the cancellation of today’s 8:45am Douglas to Heysham sailing after smoke was detected in an engineering space onboard Manxman.
For this evening, Ben-my-Chree will replace Manxman on the 7:45pm departure from Douglas to Heysham.
To manage passenger and freight movements, Manannan will operate a replacement passenger sailing from Heysham at 3:30am on Wednesday morning while the Ben handles freight.
Affected passengers will be contacted by the company’s reservations team via text or email.”
The Ben-my-Chree will handle Wednesday’s daytime sailings.
